The Weaver Network is inspired by the region’s textile heritage and rich cultural diversity, it symbolises the threads that connect our communities — weaving together buses, trains, and active travel into one seamless network.
Through the Weaver Network we promise a more seamless passenger experience, joined up journeys with co-ordinated timetables, ensuring consistency across ticketing, journey planning and real-time information.

Rolling the Weaver Network out across our region
2026
You’ll start to see the Weaver Network branding appear across bus stops, shelters and stations in West Yorkshire. This will replace the WYMetro brand on a cost-effective repair and replace basis.
Heckmondwike will be the first bus station to open in the Weaver Network branding. We’ll launch the Weaver Network website and mobile app, making it easier for you to plan journeys and purchase tickets.
2027
Weaver Network buses will start appearing on certain routes as we bring them under public control. We’ll expand this across the region throughout 2027. Our goal is a fully publicly controlled bus network by the end of 2028. The branding will also show up at railway stations and along walking, wheeling, and cycling routes.
2028 and beyond
Weaver Network will continue to expand, stitching together bus, train, walking, wheeling, cycling and other future transport modes.
