Service withdrawals from September 2026

Following on from a recent consultation and following a decision taken by the Combined Authority at a meeting held on 4 December 2025, the school bus services listed below will be withdrawn from the start of the school year September 2026.

Please note that these services will continue to operate until the end of the current school year ended July 2026.

B50 Beckfoot School, Bingley

This service will be withdrawn and replaced by revised service busses 615/616/619. [NB: the revised 615/616/619 is expected to begin at the next service change date in May 2026, however the B50 will continue until the end of the school year July 2026. A link to the revised timetable will be provided in due course.]

B99 Appleton Academy, Bradford

This PM only service will be withdrawn and alternative journeys can be made on nearby service busses  687/688/X63.

C6 Crossley Heath School, Halifax

This service will be withdrawn. It is expected that Coach Travel Services, who already operate various services to the school, will introduce a new service to replace the C6. A link to their website with the new route and times will be published here once available.

S64/S66 Titus Salt School, Baildon

These services will be withdrawn. Depending on whereabouts in Baildon you are travelling to or from, alternative journeys can be made either on service bus route 626 or on a new school service S69. The route and timetable for the S69 will be published on this website in due course.

SM25 St Marys Menston School

This service will be withdrawn. Alternative journeys can be made by either bus or rail.

Rail journeys can be made on the Wharfedale Line between Ilkley, Burley in Wharfedale and Menston.

Bus journeys are as follows:

Service X84 0717 Ilkley Bus Station to 0746 Otley Bus Station (via 0735 Burley in Wharfedale. Then change to either school bus service SM26 (0757, Otley Bus Station- St Mary’s, Menston) or Service 34 (0806, Otley Bus Station-Leeds).

PM

Service 962 1514 Menston Station Road to 1543 Ilkley Bus Station (via 1532 Burley in Wharfedale).
